This Years summer art camp takes the children to Africa, India, Europe and Asia to explore the Arts and Culture of each country.
The projects allow the children to express the spirit of their travels using diverse materials, and varied techniques.
Each child exploring his or her own creative voice in wonderful creative ways.

SPRING ART WORKSHOPS; Torn paper portraits

In this workshop children observed their faces and created imaginative versions of their images using torn paper. They were able to invent and shape themselves into likenesses of themselves and some of the young artist decided to alter their appearance.

Bus Shelter # 2 is located on 35th Ne at 110th street, across from Nathan Hale High School.
The children picked a wonderland theme of fairies, elves and other magical creatures.
Bus shelter #1 is located on 35th NE at 124th street. Children worked on a nature theme. Each artist picked an image they were interested in exploring.
The young artists created their own unique color palette, created a stenciled boarder and incorporated their birds, animals, and insects into each panel in very imaginative ways.
Our younger crew worked on landscapes and the plant kingdom.

Pottery Saturdays

The Children's Atelier is happy to announce we are now offering pottery workshops.
This will be offered as a two part workshop.
Children will have the opportunity to explore clay, how to shape and manipulate it to form objects, pots, tiles, bowls, piggy banks, plates and more. Have fun learning how to embellish and decorate your creations with glazes.

Children wanting to take this workshop are required to sign up for two classes

$40 per session (Total cost of workshop per child $80)

Saturdays 1:30-3:30pm pottery fabrication, dates to choose from:
First Session--March 6th
Second Session--April 3rd
Third Session--May 1st

Saturdays 1:30-3:30pm pottery decorating with glazes, dates to choose from:
First session--March 27
Second session--April 17

Drawing/Mixed Media Workshop
