In this workshop children observed their faces and created imaginative versions of their images using torn paper. They were able to invent and shape themselves into likenesses of themselves and some of the young artist decided to alter their appearance.
'The Childrens Atelier', formerly known as 'The Little Art School at Artwood Studios', offers unique opportunities for children ages six to thirteen years old, to explore the arts and develope their creativity, in the inspiring environment of a working artist's studio. Art workshops are offered from September through June on Saturdays from 1:30-3:30pm. Two day week-end workshops occur usually once a month, and allow students to work on more complex and detailed projects.

BUS SHELTERS
Bus Shelter # 2 is located on 35th Ne at 110th street, across from Nathan Hale High School.
The children picked a wonderland theme of fairies, elves and other magical creatures.
Bus shelter #1 is located on 35th NE at 124th street. Children worked on a nature theme. Each artist picked an image they were interested in exploring.
The young artists created their own unique color palette, created a stenciled boarder and incorporated their birds, animals, and insects into each panel in very imaginative ways.
Our younger crew worked on landscapes and the plant kingdom.
